Poems of Infatuation (My Version of Shakespeare's a Summer's Day)

My Poem to Jack and his Poem Back

William Shakespeare - Sonnet #18

(Shall I compare thee to a Summer's day?)
Shall I compare thee to a Summer's day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate: Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May, And Summer's lease hath all too short a date: Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines, And oft' is his gold complexion dimm'd; And every fair from fair sometime declines, By chance or nature's changing course untrimm'd: But thy eternal Summer shall not fade Nor lose possession of that fair thou owest; Nor shall Death brag thou wanderest in his shade, When in eternal lines to time thou growest: So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see, So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.

I want a face that is only my own
a face that only I can hone
Others can only look and admire
I truly hope to inspire
charm and grace
in another’s mind, heart, and face.

Back:
although oceans apart
you truly touch a part
of me that evokes and instills
a deepness of emotion, that needs no drugs or pills
because we have our own truly amazing body-chemicals
of not just lust and insatiable thrills
but of meaning, of thought, a connection that spills

I Am Falling for Him

I have met this lovely man, wonderful, witty, charming, intelligent, and just adorably attractive. The thing is...I met him online. I know I know you guys are going to think he is a stalker, but he isn't! He is 8 years older than me but looks really just shy of 24 with his adorable facial hair. We email everyday. The emails are so full of passion, it's like he is really reading them to me and telling me about his day. I like that he is floored by my mind and everything I seem to say is alluring. Innit that how a relationship should be? It's like I met him in a bar, but online. That's technology these days. He is a Virgo and I am a Cancer, quite compatible, it's crazy. I'm crazy. He is an Englishman that works with animals, doesn't get much cuter than that. Jack's his name.

The Only Colorful Being in the Airport

I was on my way to Bermuda, there until August the 6th. It's nice that it is only 2 hours away from Boston, but I love long plane rides. I am newly obsessed with floral patterns. Mix and match flowers to make yourself into a bouquet!
